30 Jun Micro love, travel and change
Recently I was listening to Simon Sinek discussing a concept on a podcast which really struck me. He described how love is not just a romantic exchange or feelings within families but we are surround by moments of what is called ‘micro love’. These are little things… the glance of understanding from someone in a car beside you in a traffic jam or the moments a stranger gives up their time to help you. We overlook these moments because our definition is usually only that of romantic love, which in fact is only one form of love.
We need to travel better, deeper, and slower to embrace change
It occurred to me that micro love is easier to spot when we travel. We are more open to encounters when we’re out of our comfort zone. Because of this travel leads to understanding, tolerance and change. In one way or another change is sure… I’m just not sure about these experts who claim they know how travel will change. Change will happen as we shape it.
Travel helps us look at people and things from different perspectives, understanding other cultures and the beauty of the planet that we need to protect. People protect what they love and travel helps people fall back in love with what we need to protect.
For magic moments that you could never plan and experiences that you could never anticipate, travel is back and change is happening.
Warm regards from the mountains,
Danielle
