Why alpine adventure planning rocks

Last minute travel is over. The best way to experience the ultimate Alpine adventure is to plan ahead. Forward thinking saves you money and increases the quality of your experience. In the mountains it also means the best rooms, the hottest restaurants and the itinerary x-factor that we’ve all been dreaming of.

Since Covid many Alpine hotels and restaurants are making advanced bookings mandatory.

There are no guarantees hot spots will be open on the day you visit. I have noticed extra benefits to planning ahead too: more time to get excited for you, and more time to ensure things are perfect at this end.

The hottest May on record

Switzerland has just experienced the hottest May on record. With frequent 30 degree days, it felt like August. This early heat wave lured us into the lake and encouraged us to enjoy the remaining snow on the alpinesummits in glorious sunshine. Now our creative juices are really getting going for hiking and biking adventuresthis summer. And this month is when the mountains fully re-open for the season.

Wellness trips are on the go

Our wellness trips are proving even more popular than we had hoped. Why not take your turn to devote time to combating exhaustion, burn out, brain fog and fatigue? All of these are the side effects of modern living, it’s time to unplug and unwind in beautiful alpine scenery. Find out more about these trips on our wellness blog here.

Something special, you tell us

We also love planning special alpine adventures that take us further afield to lakes and vineyards by foot, helicopter, plane, bike or ski. If you are pondering your next challenge, drop us a line while planning mode is in full swing

Warm Regards from the mountains,

Danielle
