Luxury Biking Safaris in the Alps

The Alps is a paradise for cycling — road, mountain bike and e-bike

The Alps that most visitors experience — the well-signed public trails, the crowded viewpoints, the mountain restaurants that ask you to book a month in advance — are only a fraction of what is here. The rest belongs to people who know where to look.

Whether you are chasing high alpine roads on a road bike, exploring singletrack above the treeline, or discovering the Alps at a more relaxed pace on an e-bike, a guided biking safari across Switzerland, Italy and France is something else entirely.
We believe a biking trip should never compromise on luxury. The mix of extraordinary terrain, exceptional accommodation, and escaping the beaten track on two wheels — that is the SwisSkiSafari recipe.

Biking lends itself to our nature — a safari on two wheels

Why ride one country when you can ride three?

With us, you will ride from place to place and country to country. Every detail of every day is taken care of — so that all you have to think about is the riding, the landscape, and the evening ahead.
From iconic high-altitude roads to wide, sweeping mountain trails with seriously stunning backdrops, the European Alps make one of the world’s great cycling destinations. This is not a cycling tour. It is a safari on two wheels — private, guided by people who live here, and followed each evening by exceptional food and exceptional accommodation.

Guided biking safaris — heart-pumping, safe, and deeply satisfying

Choosing the right route requires experience and in-depth local knowledge

Our guides know the length of every route and how long each climb should take. They know the best places to stop, the shortcuts when weather turns, and when a section of terrain is better experienced on foot. Living and riding in the region gives us the upper hand.
On days where the trail leads somewhere no bike can follow — a high alpine path, a ridge above the cycling network — we adapt seamlessly. Boots on, and into the landscape in a different way. It is part of what makes a week in the Alps genuinely varied.
Your guide will determine which route suits your group, your fitness level, and your goals. Everything is planned around you — with alternatives prepared for every day and the pace always yours to set.

We design the biking experience that suits your group

Some guests want the challenge of serious road climbs on a traditional road bike. Others want the freedom and technical variety of mountain biking on high trails. Many choose an e-bike — not as a shortcut, but as a way to cover more terrain and share the experience with a partner or group riding at a different level.
We love e-biking for exactly this reason: it opens the Alps to more people without compromising the experience. Whatever your preferred discipline — or combination of disciplines — the safari is private, guided, and built entirely around you.
A typical biking safari runs around seven days. Everything around the riding — the accommodation, the planning, the logistics, the contingencies — is handled entirely by us.

The Alps are one of the world’s great places to ride a bike

And we know them better than anyone

The junction of Switzerland, Italy, and France gives us access to an extraordinary variety of cycling terrain — and the freedom to cross borders in a single day. High-altitude roads that have featured in professional cycling’s greatest races. World-class mountain bike trails above 2,000 metres. Quiet alpine roads connecting ancient villages across three mountain cultures.
You ride. We take care of everything else.

Every great safari begins with a conversation
Tell us who you are, how you want to ride, and when you want to come — we will design the rest around you.
