We designed our tailor-made wellness program especially for active people like you. In my work I notice that many active people in great shape often do not pay attention to details such as stretching and alignment. Often our large, strong muscle areas are tense and insufficiently released. This can lead to head, neck and back pain. I am also guilty of ignoring these. We have put a program together to address some of these areas while including movement, nature and the beautiful Alpine surroundings. Learning about our bodies and taking measures to look after ourselves is the crux. Being in a beautiful place and not leaving the hotel goes wildly against all our instincts, so this trip combines both.
Do these tailor-made wellness trips really work?
Good question. Can a week of tailor-made wellness really make a difference? The answer is yes, but it also depends on your approach to the week. You get back what you put in. If you stick to the program and take the time to let your body heal itself then you will absolutely see the difference. You will feel better almost immediately and it may help you develop better habits. This is, of course, the outcome that we are looking for.
So how do these tailor-made wellness weeks work?
Firstly, we base them around your dates. Your private hiking and biking guide is booked for you only and will adapt around your program of treatments. It is often hard to predict when the treatments will be placed in the program so it is important that the guide can be flexible. We also need to adjust the movement to how you are feeling. Often on these wellness weeks there can be a moment when you are out of energy. That’s when you need to sleep, rest and recuperate. We are here to listen to our bodies and not to run the race that we do in our normal lives. This is where flexibility is key.
How is this different from a standard wellness trip?
The combination of outdoor physical activity fitting seamlessly around treatments is the unique magic to these trips. The choice of the treatments are also tailored specifically to active people. A standard wellness week presumes that most people are the same. However, our clients are different from most wellness clients. They are already active and fit and so need to concentrate on specific things to get the most out of a wellness week. Our clients would also go crazy if they did not get outside and into nature during a week anywhere.
