Bespoke winter ski trip planning

Bespoke winter ski trip planning

It is that time of year when we are encouraging all of our clients to start not only thinking about, but beginning to action their bespoke winter ski trip planning. We may sound like a broken record, but we want you to have the best adventures possible. To do that we need to plan well ahead.

We want to get you the best rooms in the smaller boutique properties. These are cosy, stylish and they make you feel like one of the family in a mountain village. We want you to have the best mountain guides who will look after you and coach you through the snow, those who will gently introduce you to a new way of skiing and snowboarding. A way so enchanting that you might never want to go back to the traditional way of skiing.

People are holidaying en masse in August

When I see how many people are traveling in August I cannot help but feel stressed. I find this ironic: people are leaving to have a well-deserved break but they get caught in traffic jams and queues for hours, fighting against each other for the limited amount of space available. I understand that many people do not have the choice due to children at school, availability to catch up with other family members and work. This makes me even more determined to get my guests off the beaten track where they can really take a breath, connect to nature and enjoy the pause they deserve.

Bespoke winter ski trip planning

We approach our bespoke winter ski trips with the same attitude. We want to get people off the beaten track, enjoying the snow alone as much as possible. This is what bespoke winter ski trip planning is all about. We want you to enjoy cosy moments in front the fireplace with an après ski drink. We want you to experience soft snow descents through the trees and  beautiful heliskiing on deserted summits. We want you to tuck in to fabulous lunches with local red wine, wonderful local dishes and, because you have had a good work out on your skis, plenty of room for dessert.

Why do we start our ski planning early?

A bespoke ski trip is already on the pricy side as the trip is private, just for your group. You have your own mountain guide tweaking the itinerary daily around the weather to get you the best skiing. And to make these trips la crème de la crème we also want to hand pick your hotels along the safari and your rooms in each of the hotels. To be able to have this choice, firstly of hotels and then secondly of the rooms in the hotels we need to start early. It is not necessary to have the best rooms in each hotel. There are plenty of rooms which are beautiful and better value for money. So having the choice helps us get all of our ducks in a row and create the best possible bespoke winter ski trip for you. If we achieve that, we have achieved our goal.

Warmest regards from the mountains,

Danielle
