Every trip is different because every guest is different. Let’s start with your dates, this will already give us a clue as to where you should hike and what areas you should avoid. We know what trails work at the beginning of the season and what trails are better at the end of the season. You do not want to be taking you to a high altitude area too early when you might run into slippery, snow-covered slopes. There are many middle-altitude trails that are beautiful early in the season, showcasing the best of the Alps. Admire the snow-capped peaks and the green flowering valleys below as you meander along peaceful trails in fresh mountain air. Early in the season can still be cool and exhilarating but with beautiful sunny days, making for spectacular hiking.

Get off the beaten track

This is perhaps the best reason for a custom Alpine hiking trip. Interestingly, so many visitors go to all the same places at the same time. This never ceases to amaze us. There are so many lovely, unfrequented trails in this area of the Alps you can literally hike a whole week and see no one. Sometimes being alone in nature is just what the doctor ordered. It is time to forget about your schedule, we will take care of that. Don’t worry about the weather, we have plan A, B and C, and don’t waste energy thinking about where your lunch or dinner will be as we have a plan for that too. There is no way to plan a trip in the Alps and expect that the hike you planned 3 months ago will take place on the day you think it will. The Alps constantly remind us that we are not in control, and that is exactly how nature should be. If you get confused on this point for even a moment the mountains will find a way to put you back on track. The great thing about a custom Alpine hiking trip is that because it is planned around you it will also flex around you, your desires and the weather. There is no point hiking to the top of the summit if you will see nothing… better to reserve that for tomorrow and that is exactly what we do. No point doing one thing when there is a better thing to do instead.
